The Government of Canada announced that applications are now open for the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy Program. The Government has dedicated up to $5 million per year in funding to organizations to support youth employment activities. As part of the program, organizations receive funding to deliver a range of activities to support young Canadians, those aged 15-30, to develop skillsets and gain experience. Primarily, the program focuses on youth facing barriers to employment and includes a focus on inclusive skills and employment programming for youth with disabilities. Eligible organizations include nonprofits, not-for-profits, Indigenous organizations, for-profit organizations (with exceptions), municipal, provincial, and territorial entities, which include institutions, agencies, Crown corporations, public health, educational and cultural institutions.
