The Toronto Foundation released the 2023 Vital Signs Report, which tracks 10 indicators of the quality of life in Toronto. With unaffordability, homelessness, and hunger on the rise, the report highlights the findings from the study and provides recommendations to address this polycrisis. According to the report, over 50% of Torontonians are worried about themselves or their family member having a stable full-time job, and another 33% perceive that their household income is insufficient.  On top of that, the report found that Torontonians are among the loneliest Canadians, with 35% of people indicating that they feel lonely at least three days a week. With burnout on the rise, 22% reported feeling burnt out most or all of the time. And over 50% of Torontonians reported feeling depressed at least one day of the week.
