The Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation invites Indigenous governments and organizations to submit proposals for the establishment of the National Indigenous Housing Centre. The objective of the initiative is to improve housing conditions for Indigenous people across Canada. The Urban, rural and northern Indigenous Housing Strategy development will include the overall vision for the National Centre’s structure, governance, partnerships and other activities. 

The funding will be delivered through: 

  • First Nations, Inuit, and Métis partners
  • Modern Treaty Self-Governing Indigenous Governments
  • A new Indigenous-led National Indigenous Housing Centre
