KPMG Canada reported that one in five Canadians are leveraging generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools to improve their productivity at work. Despite the improvements in productivity, AI opens organizations up to potential risks. The KPMG survey of 5140 employees found that 20% have leveraged AI to assist in their work. Of the individuals leveraging AI, one-quarter are entering information about their employer, and some are even sharing private financial data. The study highlights the need for organizations to implement policies and controls to monitor the use of AI in the workplace.
