The Menopause Foundation of Canada released the Menopause and Work in Canada report, sponsored by Sun Life, which reveals the need for better workplace supports. The study found that unmanaged symptoms of menopause can cost the economy an estimated $3.5 billion per year, with individuals experiencing menopause bearing the brunt of the costs. There are more than 2 million menopause-aged people in Canada, and the Menopause Foundation of Canada is calling on employers to join its new Menopause Works Here Campaign. The campaign aims to support people through every stage of life including perimenopause, menopause, and post-menopause.
