Technation released a new study, which surveyed 2000 Canadian workers to capture their perceptions of AI in the workplace. The research found that 57% of Canadian workers perceive AI as beneficial, while 61% believe it could potentially be a threat. A knowledge gap was revealed, with nearly half of Canadian employees (43%) reporting having little to no knowledge of AI and its application. Over half of Canadian workers (55%) reported discomfort using AI to assist in making decisions in the workplace. The study found that the majority of respondents (87%) are concerned about job loss due to AI, and less than one in five Canadian workers believe that AI will create more jobs than it eliminates.
