The Public Health Agency of Canada invites youth to apply for the School Health Grant Program. Canadian youth aged 13-19 enrolled in grades 9-12 are welcome to apply for up to $1500 of grant funding to develop initiatives that encourage and promote healthy living in their schools and communities. The initiatives must align with the Public Health Agency of Canada’s mandate and encourage healthy living by teaching participants about important topics, sharing resources and information, and helping participants develop healthy skills. In addition, the projects should focus on one of the following priorities:

  • Positive mental health and well-being
  • Healthy eating and nutrition
  • Physical activity
  • Reducing substance-related harms

Eligibility Requirements

  • Youth between the ages of 13-19
  • Student enrolled in grades 9-12 or Secondary 3 to 6 in Quebec
  • Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada
  • Not a federal government employee at the time of applying
