CharityVillage has been proud to partner with the Diversity Institute (DI) at Toronto Metropolitan University to advance equity, diversity and inclusion in Canada’s workforce, and share easy-to-apply best practices and tools for organizations like yours.  

Part of this work has been through the federal government’s 50 30 Challenge, in which DI is an ecosystem partner. The voluntary code encourages organizations across sectors to advance gender parity (50% women and/or non-binary people) and increase diversity (30% other equity-deserving groups) on boards and/or in senior leadership roles. The 50 30 Challenge ecosystem partners have created the What Works Toolkit and other resources, to support this process and share other learnings through events and webinars like our The 50-30 Challenge in the Nonprofit Sector Webinar, CharityVillage Connects: Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in Canada’s Nonprofit Sector Podcast Episode, and at the CharityVillage Conference & Awards.
