4 Salesforce Spring ‘24 release highlights

Is your association ready for increased efficiency and streamlined processes? Maximize the power of Nimble AMS and Salesforce with these latest Salesforce enhancements:

1. Salesforce Flows

In the Salesforce Spring ‘24 release there are exciting new changes to the Migrate to Flow Tool. You’ll be able to migrate even more processes and support the partial migration of most actions.  The Migrate to Flow Tool can also prompt notifications of which actions you must take to complete the migration.

2. Salesforce Einstein

The Spring ‘24 release will feature enhancements to Einstein Search. Now Einstein Search will be enabled by default. If you’re not ready to leverage Einstein Search, don’t worry! (But, why wouldn’t you?) You can turn the “DoNotAutoEnable” flag on.

3. Lightning Web Components (LWC) improvements

You can look forward to even more Lightning Web Components (LWC) in the Spring ‘24 update. Over 120 objects will be LWC-enabled, including ResearchStudy, AdverseEventAction, Visit, and IssuedCard. With the enhanced LWCs you can create, view, or edit the record home pages, improving performance, supporting stronger accessibility, and offering better service.

4. Reports and dashboards improvements

Ready to do even more with your reports and dashboards? With the Salesforce Spring ‘24 update, you’ll get exciting enhancements to Lightning reports and dashboards. Easily transfer Lightning dashboards to a new owner when responsibilities change. You can change dashboard ownership individually or in bulk, all while notifying the new owner.

With the Spring ‘24 update you can enhance your Lightning dashboards with images and rich text and up to five filters. Easily advance your Lightning reports by updating fields in your report filters. You can also quickly find the right report type when creating a new report.

What’s next?

Coming next, Salesforce will retire API 21.0 through 30.0. Initially the retirement of Salesforce Platform API versions 21.030.0 was scheduled for Summer ’23, but the retirement is now postponed to Summer ’25. You can continue to use these API versions, but they are not currently supported and in Summer ‘25, the versions won’t be available. To avoid application breaking, upgrade all applications that use a legacy API version.
