The National Institute of Disability Management and Research (NIDMAR) announced the new Reducing Poverty through Early Intervention and Occupational Rehabilitation Initiative, with funding support from the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia. The Initiative aims to support individuals who have acquired a physical or mental health impairment and their employer in the return-to-work journey. Participants will be connected to a Certified Disability Management Professional (CDMP) for support in the process. The program is completely voluntary meaning an individual can withdraw at any time.

Who can access the program?

Where can the program be accessed?

The Reducing Poverty through Early Intervention and Occupational Rehabilitation Initiative pilot program will be available in the following four British Columbia communities:

  • Prince George 
  • Kelowna
  • Nanaimo
  • Vancouver
