Earlier this summer, I had the huge privilege to visit Romania and help with the Local Philanthropy Workshop. The social impact landscape in Romania is complex and exciting – you can see struggle and hope, fear and enthusiasm mixed in every conversation and every presentation. Being in that room was one of the most impactful moments of my life, and I remember thinking about the important role sport played for me and its incredible potential. The role sport can play in society is greater than ever. These words became the philosophy of Laureus and the driving force behind our work.

I am here in Romania for a conference hosted by the Soros Foundation as part of their pilot advocacy through blogging program. Social Media, NGOs, and Romania View SlideShare presentation or Upload your own. A rating of 100 or more is considered good in Romania. Goal is to provide web presence for most ngos in Romania.

The CommBuild Community of Practice focuses on issues and topics relevant to those working in social sector community building or community management roles.

NASSCOM Foundation was set up to support the Indian IT industry’s role in nation building and to promote the underprivileged to help them become self-reliant and productive participants in the country’s progress. I'll be adapting my Social Media Strategy workshop which has traveled to Romania , Australia , and Cambodia.
