    This is great!

Please consider mentioning Kabissa in the book as a resource for nonprofits working in Africa. Also, you may want to peruse our Time To Get Online book, which is now a bit out of date but still contains some useful “steps to success on the Internet” tailored for nonprofit organizations. See http://wiki.kabissa.org where it is freely available in English, French and Arabic under a CC license.

    Cheers,

    Tobias

Very interesting read. I hope to peruse the book when it’s released.

Thank you for the links, too. Should prove very useful in promoting our own non-profit.

Happy to see Care2 listed. Please let me know if you want to talk with Randy or anyone on the nonprofit team.

Will do. I met Randy at an airport back in 2001 when I was still running eActivist.org. Cheers.

Sure. Empowering nonprofits worldwide to fundraise online is an important service. 🙂

    Hi Heather,
I’m thrilled to read that FirstGiving is included in your list of fundraising resouces. You may not know that FirstGiving launched new personal profile pages January 5th (you can view an example here: http://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/erin-koteckivest/queenofspain), or that you can now support projects around the world through our partner, Global Giving. I’d be more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the platform.

Would really love to see some Australian opportunities?

There are special mentions for Australian nonprofits for online fundraising and texting, but beyond that they can use every other tool mentioned. 🙂

    Heather,

I’d like to give you a heads up about CauseVox. CauseVox is a white-label crowdfunding platform that helps non-profits raise more money. Within 15 minutes, any non-techie can set up a customized, branded site on their own domain and begin accepting donations with advanced analytics. It’s like a Tumblr for non-profit fundraising.

Check us out at http://www.causevox.com, and let me know if you have any questions.

Wow. This is a wonderfully comprehensive list. I recognize many and some I don’t, so I look forward to exploring these.

    Thanks Heather!

Thanks… just the tip of the iceberg. These are the tools for just 3 of 11 chapters (listed as of 2/9/11). 🙂

We would love for you to check out Supporter Wall: http://supporterwall.com. Supporter Wall gives website owners the ability to collect donations for any cause or project. Supporters purchase squares on your Supporter Wall which then displays their chosen photo and link. As squares are purchased, the proceeds go to your organization.

Read more on our About page: http://supporterwall.com/about

Check out a live version on our BetaWall: http://supporterwall.com/betawall

We are releasing a small private beta next week and will be live by April.

    Thanks so much!

    Hi Heather,
I wanted to let you know that I just met the folks behind two new exciting sites that are designed to help nonprofits get connected to resources and have greater impact:

Start Some Good, http://startsomegood.com – A site that connects nonprofits to resources, including pro Bono work
ReThink Impact, http://rethinkimpact.com – A service that connects nonprofits to grant makers through short videos

Let me know if you need help connecting to the people behind either of these sites – they are really forward thinking and understand the intersection between nonprofits and technology.

Please consider listing Collabor’s Work 2.0 and Work2Go platforms. We have multiple clients in the trade association / non-profit industry. http://www.collabor.com. In addition to helping non-profits our platform is now being used by Kenexa to help job seekers world-wide find and apply for jobs using their mobile device. Thank you.
