The Conference Board of Canada’s recent research found that many organizations have expanded their suite of health and wellness initiatives to help employees better transition through this challenging time. The research illustrates that organizations are increasing coverage for psychological services in an effort to better support employee mental health and meet the evolving needs of employees. 

While some studies have found the mental health of Canadians was already at risk, the recent pandemic highlighted the importance of mental health and wellness and created an unprecedented demand for mental health supports. Additional efforts will be required to meet the emerging mental health needs of Canadians, with employers playing a critical role.
