Thanks to a scholarship from NTEN, I was given the opportunity to fly to Sydney to attend the ConnectingUp! In this case, it was finding the post-polio contacts in Ontario/Canada and building on our relationships with other organizations who could help the Global Poverty Project spread the word on the End of Polio campaign.

I think the key is to go beyond "friend collecting" and to leveraging social capital through building relationships one-to-one.
