11 Nonprofits Utilizing the New Twitter Profile Design

October 1, 2012

The vast majority of nonprofits have yet to utilize the new Twitter profile design that was launched on September 18.  The good news is that upgrading to the new design is extremely easy – it can be done in just a few clicks by following these four simple steps. That said, your biggest challenge will be finding a “Header” image that looks good on multiple devices especially if you are a small nonprofit without easy access to a graphic designer. In that case, go to Bing Images and search by color (to match your nonprofit’s avatar) and you’ll be presented with hundreds of potential header images that could look as good as the eleven chosen by the early adopter nonprofits listed below:

1. charity: water :: @charitywater

2. Greenpeace Australia :: @GreenpeaceAustP

3. Guggenheim Museum :: @Guggenheim

4. Mercy Corps :: @MercyCorps

5. National Parks Conservation Association :: @NPCA

6. Oxfam New Zealand :: @OxfamNZ

7. Planned Parenthood :: @PPact

8. Rotary International :: @Rotary

9. Special Olympics :: @SpecialOlympics

10. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital :: @StJude

11. World Wildlife Fund :: @WWF
