The reviews of Windows phones were intriguing, but the OS doesn't sound mature yet. Maybe in a few years. So I bought an HTC Rezound (only available for Verizon). The Rezound is my first Android device. While I'm not finding the OS as intuitive and elegant as Palm's OS, I like it better than Apple's IOS.

Because of my husband's work, I had access to professional sound equipment: A Marantz PMD 660 Solid State Digital Recorder, (another professional option is an M-audio recorder ), a dynamic microphone, Electro-Voice 635A , and a cable to connect the microphone to the computer. Gcast automatically submits it to the iTunes Music store.

Sounds great. When producing for/by kids, there was more of an emphasis on giving the feel of the piece—with music, stories about the artist, comments about other art the artist produced—and those context clues helped me step into the art more emotionally. How do I start? “So, So, how’s it hanging?” I loved that.

Yes, the Exploratorium is also present in these arenas as a "talker" (more on that next week), but it is just one voice among thousands. Without good listening, these all sound like risks.
