CiviCRM was the first nonprofit-focused open source CRM (one of only two, at this moment.) CiviCRM acts in Drupal like a module, and in Joomla like a component. It is a great tool for small to medium-sized organizations who are looking for a CRM to track members and donations, register people for events, and do mass mailings.
