Timing is Everything… Proposals in the Prospect Tab of The Raiser’s Edge®

Connection Cafe

Lately I have seen some discussion groups, listservs, and blogs on when to create a proposal in the Prospect Module of Raiser’s Edge® or for that matter in any fundraising legacy system. The timing or stage at which you create a proposal is truly up to each nonprofit organization. This can come from an internal database analysis, wealth screening, predictive modeling project, a peer/board review, or just plain discovery of a prospective donor from a staff or volunteer member.

Confessions of a Project Manager

Allegiance Group

The science of project management is commonly defined by the Iron Triangle: a triangle whose sides represent project scope, time, and resources (or cost). Libraries: The Oldest New Frontier for Innovation

Amy Sample Ward

There are a few core elements of the way communities work that we can learn from as a model for innovation as well. If there’s an idea that the community is behind, and a project or plan that’s adopted (whether it’s a new way of operating or a new tool), then it moves forward, regardless of “who” thought it up or campaigned for it.
