In the past few weeks, I’ve used my iPad to connect to WebEx conferences, FaceTime with coworkers, update my OneNote folders and Evernote Notebooks, and take a picture of my receipts to attach to an expense report. How Cell Phones and Tablets Enable Telework

As smartphones mature, we’re doing more on them and less on our laptops. Tools like WebEx, GoToMeeting , and ReadyTalk are all optimized for the small screen. Microsoft with its Surface line of tablets that are a hybrid of laptops and tablets, is working hard to transform tablets from personal entertainment devices to business productivity machines.

Cloud Computing for Small Nonprofits: Lessons Learned from 5 Years in the Cloud

Shortly after the Colorectal Cancer Coalition was incorporated as an organization in March 2005 we hired an admin, bought her a laptop and gave her a desk in a tiny single room office sublet from another organization in Washington, DC. In the end, we just ask that no vital files are kept only on laptop hard drives. Within a span of approximately 2 months we had to replace 2 employee laptop computers, and reformat another's drive.
