Earlier this summer, I had the huge privilege to visit Romania and help with the Local Philanthropy Workshop. The social impact landscape in Romania is complex and exciting – you can see struggle and hope, fear and enthusiasm mixed in every conversation and every presentation. Expect light blogging this week because I have no idea whether or not I will have decent Internet access. I'm doing a whirlwind in 7 days - Boston - Miami - London - Romania - Miami - Boston. I was not able to figure out via the Internet the fastest way to travel between terminals and I did not account for flight delays.

A recent study finds that 73 percent of Internet users in Europe use social networks. In the United States, 66 percent of Internet users are on social networks. The Restart Romania challenge resulted in citizens proposing technological solutions to a range of real world problems such as corruption in the medical system.
