You can imagine the impact of Bookshare.org going from a $1 million per year enterprise in 2006 to over $7 million in 2008. We've also had major efforts in Burma, Sri Lanka and Guatemala, to name a few; efforts we expect to continue this year. I have incredible news: Bookshare.org recently won a $32 million competition.

The power of the Obama campaign was translating online activity to real world impact. Like Sri Lanka where pictures weren’t getting out. It can be broad but shallow. Translating a click into someone on the streets is the step it takes. They play a role in alerting the media in other places.
