Like the American Airlines spam, this one didn’t bother to include any graphics to make it look official. Further, it shows plainly that the link goes to www.usps.com.ww062.com (note that the domain is ww062.com). Some scammers are just lazy.

Just got one and called USPS to make sure they are aware of the thing. Yes; asked “did it start with “7007”? and that they are getting reports.
Treiodor says
got the same lame msg :))

I got one too, and checked out the site (wents to usps.com, did not click on the link). I couldn’t figure out how the USPS got my email address.

I got the same e-mail, did not click on the link. I knew it was a fake from the URL. It starts off with www usps, and then adds on ww062. It redirects you to another site. Also if you go to the real USPS site and put the number in for tracking, you get some kind of error message.

Well, the U.S. Postal Service is having financial problems, so maybe they’ve decided to look for opportunities elsewhere. 😉
