From Google Wave to Google Voice , to Social Search and now Google Buzz , I think that now is a good time for nonprofits to reserve a Gmail account if they haven’t already. Unlike Google Wave, Google Buzz requires a Gmail account. I am hoping that Google Voice and eventually Google Wave will also be tied to Gmail accounts.

I miss having my Google accounts baked in so logging in with my Google account to certain apps/pages was as easy as selecting my Gmail account from a list (I have 2-step authentication turned on so logging in with my Google account is often a series of hoop jumps). Any more than I’m Google’s customer when I use Gmail.
