Disadvantages: The only support Salesforce offers existing nonprofits is a wiki. Plus, they have a great implementation for recurring gifts. Solves a lot of the problems that are inherent to nonprofits on Salesforce in an elegant way. I think our staff will like it once they get used to it. Disadvantages: Convio charges per seat.

Lee Romero has posted a nice guide to using wikis to support his Idealist group's work. Sounds like it could be part of a future wiki carnival.?

Mastering each tool individually seems like a lot of work and a lot of people give up even before they begin. However, some of us recognize that conversations are a mere stepping stone for co-creation.

Of course, the more efficient approach would be to get people to add the info themselves directly into a wiki. Someone remarked that we have invited the “Flower Mic” Finally, each participants receives a certificate, books from a colleague, and a gift of chocolate from San Francisco!
