The project is called “ Tech2Empower ,” organized by Wake , an organization on a quest to leverage technology for women’s empowerment globally. These organizations will have intensive and hands-on tech training and mentoring during the workshop. A branch of my family tree is from the Ukraine. At the age of 13, my grandfather left his country and ended up as a refugee in America. Despite harsh conditions, he made a new life in a new country, but never forgot his homeland.
