Step Beyond Your Comfort Zone

Eric Jacobsen Blog

Inspirational leadership wisdom came awhile back from Bahram Akradi, the CEO of Life Time Fitness. Once you've encountered a second way of seeing things, you're more likely to entertain the possibility of a third and fourth way, too.

Eric Jacobsen Blog

I heard this advice quoted awhile back and wanted to share it. It's from William Arthur Ward , one of America's most quoted writers of inspirational maxims: Do more than belong: participate. Do more than care: help. Do more than believe: practice. Do more than be fair: be kind. Do more than forgive: forget. Do more than dream: work. All great advice for leaders and managers as we start to plan for 2020.

Allow Employees To Learn From Their Mistakes

Eric Jacobsen Blog

Mistakes happen. The best thing you can do as a manager and leader is to help your employee learn from his (or her) mistake. If your employee is afraid of ever making a mistake, he will be paralyzed from taking action or taking even calculated risks.
