Feeling Thankful at Forum One

As we enter Thanksgiving week, I reminisce on what I’m thankful for at Forum One. It’s been over 18 years since I first started at Forum One and I’ve seen the company grow in many ways, including annual revenue, from 20 employees to 140, from one remote employee to over half the company. I’ve seen amazing people come and go and I’ve met smart, funny, caring, kind, and passionate people that have become my friends for life.

My heart is full of gratitude and thankfulness to Forum One for allowing me to be a part of this great organization – for being a source of financial stability, for providing a healthy work-life balance, and for challenging me to grow as a professional and pushing me to be the best version of myself.

“Gratitude is one of the most powerful human emotions. Once expressed, it changes attitude, brightens outlook, and broadens our perspective.”

~ Germany Kent, American print and broadcast journalist, HR guru, author, speaker, visionary

I reached out to colleagues to hear what they are grateful for at Forum One and each of their responses brought a very big and warm smile to my face. I hope you enjoy them.

“I am thankful for my awesome team. The friends I have made among my colleagues. The opportunity to work for my fellow Latinos. My present and my future in this company. The people on the clients’ side I’m working with.”

Gonzalo Bernal, Spanish Communications Specialist

“I’m thankful for all of the incredible and different types of help I’ve been seeing everyone lend each other during such a busy time at Forum One.”

Courtney Blair, Project Director

“I’m thankful for my coworkers at Forum One! It’s a great privilege to work with the people I work with at Forum One. Everyone is smart, thoughtful, and kind. And we all take great care of each other on the projects that we work on. There are a few reasons why I look forward to internal meetings more than client meetings, BUT a big part of it is that I’m able to relax and truly be myself on those calls.”

Julia Bradshaw, Senior User Experience Designer

“I’m thankful for the awesome coworkers at Forum One. People here are always willing to help me understand concepts that are novel to me and, as a result, support me in becoming a better resource to my clients. Also, nearly everyone that works at Forum One does so partially or fully due to the fact that they want to have a positive impact on the world, and it really shows in the way that I get to interact with kind and imaginative folks on a daily basis; not to mention it makes work so much better when I hop on Zoom and am greeted with convivial, supportive faces.”

Jeremy Cho, Associate Data Analyst

“I’m thankful for my co-workers at Forum One. I love working with this talented group of people!  There are often stresses — deadlines, difficult clients, last-minute changes — but my wonderful co-workers always meet these challenges with a cheerful attitude and a willingness to dive in and help to get the problem resolved.  It makes working at Forum One a pleasure every day.”

Beth Hetrick, Accounting Specialist

“I am thankful for the flexibility of remote working at Forum One. I am thankful for the ability to explore, learn, and try new things at Forum One. I am thankful for the opportunity to work with some great cultural institutions at Forum One.”

Corey Jones, Creative Director

“At Forum One, I’m truly grateful for having met colleagues that I can really learn from. For example, I’m not a designer, but from the #team-Design Channel, I have dozens of bookmarks saved on topics that feed my interests, broaden my awareness and deepen my knowledge. I’m not a PM, but from my project manager colleagues, I’m a better listener and more attentive to details. I’m thankful that during a time when the world felt so uncertain, Forum One has been – and continues to be – a reliable resource for me and my family.”

Alicia Tundidor Rogers, Government Business Development Director

“I’m thankful for the work/life balance at Forum One (I have 4 kids!). I’m thankful for leaders with integrity at Forum One. I’m thankful for kind coworkers at Forum One.”

Aaron Zinck, Technical Director

I hope you have a great week and find time to thank the people around you for making a difference in your lives.

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Forum One!
