The National Payroll Institute has released a study highlighting the financial stress burdening Canadians. The research found that the financial well-being of Canadians has declined steeply in the last year. The percentage of people living paycheque to paycheque has increased by 26% compared to last year. The organization conducted a cluster analysis which indicated there is a growing level of distress among individuals who are financially struggling.
