Here are some of my favorite tools and how I use them to stay organized and be productive: Google Workspace, formerly known as G Suite: I cannot imagine a more important set of tools for nonprofit productivity than these free tools from Google: Google Docs , Google Sheets , Google Forms , Google Slides , and Google Calendar.

You can use a calendar, whiteboard, Excel sheet , Word or Google Doc, or other resource to do this. Topics, stories, and resources for each donor communication. Just go with whatever helps you organize all of the donor communications, when you plan to mail them, and how they tie in together. Create your bundling plan. .

Docs are like super-simple wikis, and probably the most truly collaborative aspect of a Facebook group. Docs live in a designated place within your group and are therefore not as subject to the news feed, which is more timely. Docs are great for posting information that you plan to come back to again and again.

Do they do that with their employees' Google Doc passwords? Does anyone think to disable those employees' access to docs in the cloud?

Like Seema, I've been looking for ways to increase active resistance of racism, hate, and bigotry--both as an individual and as the leader of a museum.

I’m sure we each have stories like this. I had asked my contact whether participants were comfortable using Zoom with Google Docs. By now, most of us have heard about the lawyer who couldn’t turn his cat “filter” off on a Zoom court hearing, so that he appeared in virtual court as a cat. Reading these comments, I felt terrible.

Consider using a free online tool such as Google Docs and/or Google Calendar to plan when emails/communications will be sent. He suggested telling a story through your email marketing, and sending three informational emails for every one ask. Avoid using ‘click here’ in your email copy.

I was part of this success story!” If the donor’s gift was used for food for a pantry, a video of a volunteer filling bags with tomato soup, saltines, and other staples will tell the story without having to find a pantry guest willing to be filmed. A well-written receipt is not just about a tax record. I made that gift!

Stacey does feel that it's a useful and simple tool that can help spread your story, but had there not been volunteers in the public relations industry involved in the group, she may not have made the time to use the platform. When it came to blogger outreach, a Google Doc was the preferred and successful tool.

Start a Google Doc where people can add ideas for future books 10. Read a few pages/the first chapter of the book before you choose it. Be conscience of page count. Everyone is busy (: Choose books that are available as e-books, for people who prefer to read on their Kindle, iPad, etc. Keep asking people if they'd like to join.

I’m mostly telling that part of the story to set up this statement of gratitude. The social media folks were in full-on energizer bunny mode behind the scenes.

Kalabird we used google docs wiki-like platform to build our new website's copy decks and implementation plan. I'd borrow, steal & give credit. i.e. Can you email me the job desc?

We reviewed a handful of existing policies from other institutions (local and national, museums and not), discussed their attributes, and started drafting/stealing/reworking with a Google doc. We only met once in person.
