Swipegood.com unfortunately stopped collecting donations last November. Their site is no longer operating. Our nonprofit used them and loved it. Was very bummed when we received their notification.
Weird. They need to take their site down. 🙂
This rocks! These are great resources. We love Alexa 🙂
I think Swipegood is going out of business.
Another great website is compete.com. It will give you website analytics for clippings.
I thought so too… their site is still live. Hmmm. 🙂
Small correction: HelpAttack! currently uses FirstGiving’s API to process donations – extremely similar service to Network For Good. Both are great services.
Thanks for listing us!
Thanks for this really useful round up – it would be interesting to do the same in a year and see what has changed!
What a great list! Thanks for the valuable, not to mention time saving, information.
Another awesome and innovative site dedicated to promoting volunteering you should check out and add to the list is VolunteerX.org. It’s promotes volunteering through shared experiences and reviews…kinda cool idea.

Wow! What a nice resource for volunteers.
Thanks. Very interesting, nice resources for nonprofits.
These are great links…thank you so much for sharing! I had never heard of timewiki before!

This is a great list of resources, especially as you are figuring out how to improve your social media.
Very useful list! Extra thanks for the Twitter related links. We’ve been struggling to find the best way to measure and better understand our Twitter analytics. Thanks!
Great list. Good to see you included Flipboard (one of my faves).
Three tools for social media that I’ve found to be very helpful that nonprofits could benefit from are Followerwonk, Topsy, and IFTTT.
Fantastic list of good quality resources. I especially like the 360 Panorama app. That will come in handy with a lot of the large group shots we take. Many thanks!
Great list, thank you!
Just thought I’d let you know that unfortunately #9. Cause layouts no longer operates.
If I may add to this list, Checkbox Survey just started a new program for nonprofits where they give away one free license of their online survey creation tool per month. Here is the link to their nonprofit program: http://www.checkbox.com/pricing/nonprofit-accounts/
Unfortunately Cause Layouts is no longer operating 😦
Great resources!
We do hope that you would like to add our free Facebook Page Tool – LikeAlyzer.com.
LikeAlyzer is a new tool that will measure the success of your Facebook fan/business page with detailed recommendations on things you could be doing better.
Many thanks!
missed a new free one called Giftit (www.gift-it.com) a marketplace of things that once sold converts to a donation to a charity.
Also, Change.org is a great platform to host your online campaigns regardless if your nonprofit does advocacy work or not. They have free tools to use and you can build your supporter base. I know GLAAD uses the platform alot.
Thank you so much for this list. Really helpful for us marketers trying to promote NFPs with a minimal budget.

Looking to get more out if your online media? Here is a List of great free an low cost tools from Nonprofit Tech 2.0.
Measure the the Return on Investment of oyour nonprofit (or volunteer engagement) at http://www.volunteer2.com/roi (free)
Managers of Volunteer can share and borrow resources submitted by other Managers of Volunteer at http://www.OurSharedResources.com (free)
DonationMatch is also free/low cost to find in-kind donations for auctions, opportunity drawings, and swag bags of fundraising events. We do the work of collecting donor businesses in one place so you can paperlessly request multiple items in just clicks. You only pay a small match fee if your request is approved, and gift certificates can be printed instantly. We’re still new and more active in San Diego/Southern California, but as word spreads and more events are posted we’ll be able to recruit more donors for you. Thanks for making list great list!
http://www.wiggio.com is a free tool for groups to work collaboratively online and in real time.
Excellent article, I’ve reblogged this at pm4gis.org
Great resource list! I’d also add http://www.tapfunder.com as by far the most affordable mobile text-to-donate service. Unlike most there are no start-up or monthly fees and the per donation fees are much lower than the 7.5%+ charged by folks like Mobile Cause.
Great resource list! Thanks…
An addendum: Google Chrome #31 is also available for the Mac, and other platforms…
Thank you for all these great resources! We’d also recommend checking out http://www.givengain.com and consider setting up a Cause profile for your non-profit. It’s a great way to get specific projects funded.

Thanks. 🙂
Great resource list, Heather! Another one that just came to market late last year is startg to get popular: TapFunder (http://www.tapfunder.com), a mobile fundraising site that allows any size organization to start a mobile text-to-donate program. There are no start-up or monthly fees, either!
i think you should add quote-able as a quotes website, you can even share with pinterest.
Sparkwise!! Visual storytelling dashboards for non-profits.

there aren’t many good social media blogs out there, but i was stoked on some recent articles from Sevenly Labs. Seems like they know their stuff http://www.sevenlylabs.com
