It happens, and it can be frustrating when you’re working with spreadsheets that will eventually be merged to mailing labels. When Excel (or Google Docs) sees just numbers in a field, it assumes you want the field to be a number. Go to Google Doc’s Edit menu and select “Paste Values Only&#.

When Excel (or Google Docs) sees just numbers in a field, it assumes you want the field to be a number. Import the spreadsheet as-is, knowing the zip codes are going to come in as numbers.

I use Canned Responses to provide HTML signatures when needed, and also forward all of my mail to gmail, then send out mail as other identities. (I’ve For sharing files, as well as providing solid file backup, I use Dropbox (it even works on Linux!). It works for multiple projects. I love the collaboration features.

IT staff set up an automatic backup of each employee's Outlook file to their server every night, to ensure that nothing was lost. Since each file was quite large, a lot of space was required to store it all. Staff could also access their email on the web; however, the interface wasn't great and this feature was rarely used.

The current software does not interface with our current/new technical environment (MS-Exchange and Office, or Google g-mail, calendar, docs, etc.). This is an area of new or expanded emphasis for us. We cannot interface with other desired applications. We need better tools for reporting, analysis, and business intelligence.
