VietNet-ICT’s vision is to narrow the digital divide by providing ICT access to poor people in Vietnam. Its eight major islands (in terms of landmass) are Sumatra, Java, Kalimantan (Borneo), Sulawesi (Celebes), and Irian Jaya (the western half of Papua New Guinea). The country spans eight time zones.
