Your digital donors: Who they are & how to keep them!

Hosted by AFP NYC Fundraising Day

June 14, 2024 8:30 am–June 14, 2024 9:30 am

Digital fundraising is fast becoming the lifeblood of nearly every organization’s individual giving efforts. By utilizing their website, email marketing, SMS, and social media in partnership with direct mail and offline efforts, nonprofits are reaching and re-engaging a larger and more global audience every day, enabling them to fund their important work. And the secret is… your digital donors are closer than you think!

In this presentation, Ally Dommu, director of service development, Eugene Lovendusky, individual and planned giving manager at The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center, and Ishmam Rahman, deputy director, mid-level giving at International Rescue Committee examine the importance of using a holistic approach to understanding the folks already in your universe, and how their everyday digital activities and engagement shape their identity, signal their interests, and provide you with opportunities to raise dollars! Alongside examples and case studies from the panelists, this presentation offers strategies and ideas nonprofits can quickly use and adapt to tap into their ever-growing pool of digital constituents… who are ready to give!

Learning objectives:

1. Understand trends related to how nonprofits are engaging and growing their digital donor base.

2. Recognize, through data and examples, how executing an omnichannel fundraising strategy can lift all boats.

3. Build an action plan shaped around the philosophy that anyone in your digital universe has the potential to give by meeting them where they are.
