I just attended two days of meetings in Washington DC on the first year of the DIAGRAM Center , held at the Office of Special Education Programs in the Department of Education. This is becoming crucially important as the problem of delivering access to text is increasingly solved by the move to ebook publishing and solutions like our Bookshare library. But, it’s turned out to be one of the best surveys of assistive technology we’ve ever seen.

Although we are well known in the national and international disability field, it's been about ten years since I spent much time in DC (last time was the original Section 508 federal advisory committee in the 90s). We'll be working for Guam to help set up a system for assistive technology and media for disabled students with nine Pacific island entities.
