The genocide in Darfur continues - now in its sixth year and at the price of nearly half a million lives. Most importantly, you can influence others to stand up and be a voice for Darfur.

Blog Action Day is a wonderful idea, but it feels too short to make a real impact. I'm interested in exploring how Changebloggers, people who want to use their blogs, podcasts and vlogs to change the world, can make a greater impact through longer online events, and face-to-face meetups. She read 31 books and raised $1,1136.60.

Anyone could call in and hear an update about developments on the ground in Darfur and Congo, and upcoming legislation, events and campaigns. Make it simple.

Like in January when Mia Farrow spoke in Second Life about Darfur at a virtual event sponsored by the U.S. The main obstacles I see to Second Life having an impact for positive change are that you have to have a relatively good computer, a strong Internet connection, and it isn't intuitive how it works, at least it isn't to me.
