Gerry quickly did the legal research and came back to explain that my idea, which seemed like it should be illegal, was 100% permitted under an obscure provision of the copyright law! Bookshare has gone on to become the world’s largest library for people with disabilities, serving more than half a million kids with disabilities in the U.S.

Keep in mind that enforcing limited-access policies requires significant staff time too, along with possible legal fees. Copyright infringements: A large portion of historical collections are in the public domain. Should the museum impose a fee on reproducers or limit their pursuits in other ways?
