Convio has built a Facebook application builder as part of their Open initiative. For organizations on the Convio platform, the Facebook application is a no-brainer and a HUGE improvement from Causes. So if you have different initiatives going on, you can’t create different applications for each using this tool.

Best of all: we haven’t had to spend an additional penny for any of it, since it’s all about tools we were already using. Convio released their own Fall ‘09 upgrade of Common Ground (to version 2.1). There are tools on the Salesforce appexchange that do address verification , but they’re not free.

Case Management, 3rd party tools, web-to-lead, web-to-case, mobile edition…it all works. For example, I know that the Convio data sync we rely on won’t work with the nonprofit starter pack.
