You can browse or search the docs from the little drop-down window. But there are times that I need to quickly grab the full 18 digit version (for example, when updating a synced record in Convio Online Marketing). Apex, Visualforce documentation.it's all there. I'm a developer wannabe at best.

I looked over Allan Benamer’s post on the Convio and Kintera initiatives, I looked harder at the Convio Open and Kintera Connect docs, and I also had a chat with some Kintera folk. Allan is right – the Kintera API is more comprehensive, and provides for more flexibility than the Convio API.

At first blush, although Kintera officially got out the door first, announcing Connect weeks ago, and delivering the APIs and docs on Friday, their play is a good start, but Convio, announcing Open tomorrow, appears to be ahead in terms of providing real openness. Convio has, seemingly, gotten some serious Web 2.0

To their credit Convio asks this question on their blog : “Should organizations like Convio, and Giving USA continue to offer these sorts of insights to the nonprofit community, or is this simply self-serving marketing fluff?&# What do you think?

It’s been a little over a month since I signed on the dotted line for Common Ground , Convio’s Force.com application for nonprofit donation and constituent management. Between them and Convio, I feel like we’re in good hands. Last week, Convio updated their managed packages to version 2.0. for donations.

The CRM is Salesforce, the CMS and Web Publish System is Drupal and then we have to determine the Donation Managment System (Convio, Blacbkaud) or do we create custom donation forms and use a 3rd party?
