The nonprofit Generations of Hope is competing in the top category, for the $250,000 prize, approximately 1/3 its operating budget in 2009. If they don't a dollar, at least the contest has helped inspire them to dip their toes in the social media waters. Time will tell, but the contest has given us a jump start on our social media strategy.
