I’m actually quite happy – I can run both Windows 7 and Ubuntu Linux on my laptop, and I like Android (and my Droid 2 phone) a lot. And, of course, using Ubuntu on the desktop is fun. A scary amount of my data (mail, contacts, photos, task lists, calendars, phone etc.) resides in Google’s data centers.

Linux ready for the desktop?

August 9, 2007 It’s been 7 weeks of using Ubuntu 7.04 (better known as Feisty Fawn) as my primary desktop. The only time I shut down this laptop is when I’m taking it somewhere, which is relatively rarely. I have no problem getting just about all of my work done using Ubuntu. I love apt-get/aptitude.
