Closures and social distancing measures have wiped out organizations that didn’t have a rainy day fund. In March we launched a dedicated Boys and Girls Clubs COVID-19 relief fund. That effort was concentrated around raising funds and awareness for the work that our national organization and local clubs are leading.

I also liked the work we did a few years ago to support telecentres in poor communities affected by civil war in Colombia. This involves things like how to manage investment funds that include purification processes for dealing with interest payments on loans in places that find common banking practices against Sharia law.

We've been developing Miradi for three years together with the Conservation Measures Partnership (which includes groups like The Nature Conservancy and the World Wildlife Fund), and began beta testing the software in 2007.
