Instead of getting distracted by the tools and the terminologies, I focus on the four underlying themes in social media, the 4Cs of social media: Content, Collaboration, Community and Collective Intelligence. The Second C: Collaboration. Collaboration can happen at three levels: conversation, co-creation and collective action.

The purpose is to promote wider scale discussion and pursuit of collaborative projects among the K12 classrooms. I also think the Student Code of Ethics are good model too - sort of like online community standards or codes of conduct. Several small scale discussions via Skype will be had with the teachers and these journalists.

The exhibition I'm curating for The Tech Museum of Innovation is opening and we are hosting a summit on June 4 (in real life and in Second Life ) for museum professionals to discuss the process by which it was created. In March, we selected the best of the virtual exhibits for translation into the real world.
