According to SaveDarfur.org , "Later today the House of Representatives will vote on whether or not to provide critical funding for humanitarian aid in Darfur." They are asking that you call your Representative today and ask that he or she vote for the Obey/Hyde/Lantos amendment which would add $50 million in humanitarin aid in Darfur.

Today, I got a report via the TechSoup Second Life listserv about an awareness-raising campaign for homeless children in Second Life - reported here , here and here. A Spain-based non-profit, their main goal is to create shelters and foster homes for poor children and elderly people. There's YouTube video here.
