I just spent almost three weeks in Thailand and Laos on a combined work and vacation trip. One of my business visits was to a long-standing social enterprise partner of ours, Digital Divide Data in Vientiane, Laos. We have financed many micro-credit loans for women and men who want to start their own businesses as an alternative way to make a living for their families so that they're not circumstantially forced to take work that would be degrading or demeaning to them. I think that we hold tremendous power in our hands.
