A great way to get started and bring a wider audience to your doorstep is by broadcasting lectures through YouTube and Slideshare or posting articles online. Review the IP status of your collection and the permissions related to broadcasting lectures and workshops. Open online educational content is also a great channel.

On Monday, I gave the keynote at the Museums in Conversation conference in Tarrytown, NY. The fastest growing demographics are over 35. There’s a technology thinker named Cory Doctorow who once said: "Content is just something to have a conversation about." One third of Facebook users are 35-49 and one quarter are 50 plus.
