I launched a bloggers campaign and Twitter Wall of Fame as part of the Sharing Foundation's America's Giving Challenge. (To learn more about the Sharing Foundation, see this article) I've been reaching out to all my networks. So, this is a shout out to my creative commons connections including Bernie Guerrero (can you spot the Cambodian wearing a cc t-shirt in his poster?), Iryna Kuchma, and others.
Why is a Cambodian Orphan Wearing A Creative Commons T-Shirt?
That's a photo I took this summer of a child at the Sharing Foundation's Roteang Orphanage. I meet Candace N. Nast who writes a placeblog called BlogWindsor and Femilicious at BlogHer this summer. I immediately noticed her t-shirt because I have the same one. In fact, the photo I took of my kids wearing it won the Creative Commons photo contest! At the time, I was raising money to support the Cambodian Bloggers Summit. Larry Lessig graciously gave me kids t-shirts to bring over. And in November, I purchased one of the special CC t-shirts and wore it on my blog in November to support Creative Commons Annual campaign.
Sharing Foundation's Roteang Orphanage
The Sharing Foundation's Roteang Orphanage, opened in 2000, is near and dear to my heart. That's where my daughter lived for two years of her life. The orphanage represents a new standard of hygiene, medical services, nutrition, and compassionate care for children in Cambodia. Orphans are admitted without regard for medical diagnosis (such as HIV, syphilis, or cerebral palsy) or congenital anomalies. The orphanage is home to over 70 infants and children, nearly half of whom, due to serious disabilities, will remain in the Foundation's care indefinitely. There are so many stories that I hope to share with you about the many children that the Sharing Foundation care for.

Wow Beth, thanks for the link, even though I come across it late. As for my post, I was worried about whether I was actually saying something smart as I joined a group of people who got together, this time to help Jonathan Crow of ThinkFree critique his own social media outreach. Imagine how flattered I must feel.
