I agree with some of the sentiments of uneasiness surrounding the contest, but I also think the online organizing potential for smaller groups - like Service For Peace - is hard to ignore. For organizations of similar size and scope, this contest has transformed their offline grassroots prowess into online might. Bolstered by dedicated supporters and leadership eager to innovate, the contest has been a rallying cry. Telling stories through video, spontaneous conversations across social networking sites, and live events to spur online activism are all things we talk about ad nauseum in the social media world. This contest has made those things a possibility in a bigger way for organizations that are suddenly given a voice.

I am almost intrigued by this topic and would like to learn more. Could you please recommend some book to begin with? I have found many articles and periodical at http://www.pdfqueen.com pdf books and periodical search engine, but am not sure if it is all worth reading. Thank you for your advice.
