An L3C, though, is a hybrid of an LLC and nonprofit business model, which is where an organization operates to benefit the general public without shareholders and without a profit motive.

The good news is that electronics recycling is increasingly no-cost as more states are enacting recycling laws that require computer makers to cover the costs of end-of-life recycling. is now covered by a state e-waste recycling law.
