And here I was in this small town in Ohio, the white father of a 9-month old African-American baby, becoming aware of my own racism. Racism has been in every culture ever since. Humans can no more escape the racism in our cultures than we can escape the carcinogens in the air we breathe. I still believe that We Shall Overcome!

A high school English teacher in Zimbabwe, whose name is Betty Makoni , began hearing stories from her students after school, that they had been raped. The children are ages 6-16, and they're making huge strides by leading a national movement against child rape in Zimbabwe. In this case, the girls were using poetry.
