International phone lines were jammed & I couldn’t reach my husband where he was working in France, to let him know I’d flown to LA, and I’d made it. We were surprised when we reached a roadblock just West of El Paso. I was also surprised that El Paso, TX is only the half-way point between LA and Austin.
